Memory as a vision is a series of events – shows, exhibitions, workshops and vintage films – centered around the centenary celebration. The program aims to X-ray the last 100 years through contemporary art, highlighting the points of intersection between identity, memory, history and reflections on the transformations that the future can bring to culture and society.
The programme will encompass the following events:
- The “Atlas of Sound” show, by Ludomir Franczak (PL), hosted by the Brush Factory, on October 11.
- Visual arts exhibition “Memory as vision” organized from October 12 to November 9 in the premises of the Brush Factory. Opening: October 12, 19:00. Curator: Horea Avram; Assistant Curator: Georgiana Buț.
- Cineconcert “Memory as vision” on October 24 and 25 at the Urania Palace in Cluj-Napoca. It is a series of vintage films screenings from the National Film Archive produced in Romania between 1925 and 1940.
- Workshop with choreographer Manuel Pelmus from 26 to 29 November. A creative workshop on art and intergenerational dialogue.
